About Me

Interiors Stylist, Creative Consultant and Set Designer

Rebecca de Boehmler is an award-winning Interior Stylist and Set Designer with more than thirty years of experience across editorial, advertising, commercial and moving image. Over that time she has styled interiors for leading magazines and brands, designed sets for photo shoots and events, and provided creative direction from the initial idea to the final image. Her confident handling of colour and pattern has become a signature of her practice, grounded in a thorough understanding of how a space is composed, photographed and lived in.

Rebecca honed her craft at Homes & Gardens, where she spent six years styling and producing interiors and lifestyle content before going freelance. She later joined Livingetc as Commissioning Style Editor, conceptualising interior shoots around the most current trends, commissioning and directing a team on each feature, and styling a number of features herself.

Rebecca’s keen eye for detail allows her to move easily between styles, from countryside chic to contemporary interiors, while her affinity for colour and pattern is indisputable. Using her skills, she creates engaging imagery with a clear sense of its audience, and brings prop sourcing and set design together under one direction. Rebecca also draws on a wide network of suppliers, set designers, photographers, seamstresses and PR professionals.

With over 25 years’ experience in the interiors industry, I  produce, design and style for any interior, lifestyle brand, or magazine title creating images that target their specific brand and audience. This includes research, planning, creating the concepts, compiling the room schemes and any set design.   I have a large contacts base of suppliers, set builders, photographers, seamstresses, and PRs that I can call upon.

I create relevant and contemporary content that is specific to a brand or title.  Researching, compiling, and editing interior features and supplements, tapping into my vast knowledge of PRs, brands, and trends.

Tapping into my vast knowledge of suppliers, and many years of creating room schemes for shoots, I have designed new room schemes, for real people’s homes.

I recently finished a complete refurbishment of a listed country home, where I designed new colour schemes for rooms, and selected the flooring, furniture, wall colour and soft furnishing. I also work on part redesigns of properties for the rental or sales market.

I can redesign a whole house or just one room.

 Please contact me for details.

With experience in set design, I can devise and implement any set for an interiors event. I have designed and produced the first ever Homes and Gardens Awards at the V&A.
